Why can't the media get its act together when covering the immigration issue?
By Dave Gorak, 06/03/2011
In his June 2 report "Lawsuit filed against Georgia's new immigration law," WXIA-TV reporter Paul Crawley described D.A. King's Dustin Inman Society as being "anti-illegal immigration."
So far, so good.
But what we'd like to know is why, when the nation's reporters are quoting representatives of organizations that openly aid and abet illegal aliens, e.g., Voces de la Frontera in Wisconsin, these organizations nearly always are described as being "immigrant rights groups." Why not "pro-illegal immigration" groups? "Illegal alien advocates?" "Anti-enforcement advocates?"
Remember that illegal aliens are not "immigrants," and as such have no rights except due process and humane treatment during their deportation proceedings.
