Obama's 'transformed' America becoming increasingly ugly

If you're among the 20 million Americans who want a full-time job but can't find one and have been too busy job hunting to keep up with the news , here's a brief summary of what the "government of the people" has been up to lately.

  • President Obama, better known as the Chief Water Carrier for the cheap labor lobby, recently announced that he'd like  to give work permits to the spouses of H-1B workers who could then compete for high-skilled jobs. This would mean up to another 100,000 good-paying jobs outsourced but right here in Uncle Sam's backyard. It has something to do with making American companies more "competitive in a global economy," so forth and so on. Great news for those Silicon Valley-type guys, but not so swell if you're one of the nearly 2 million Americans with engineering degrees who are jobless or working in an unrelated field e.g. "Good morning, welcome to Walmart."

But you don't have to just sit there and take it. You have until July 11 to make your feelings known about Obama's most recent efforts to steal jobs rightfully belonging to Americans. Please let the man who promisedchange you can believe in that you didn't think this would mean joining the ranks of the long-term unemployed.

  • Meanwhile, back in the "labor shortage" department, Jay Timmons, the CEO of the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), recently said another amnesty and more legal immigration is the only way his members can fill 600,000 factory jobs that are open across the country. You can read more about NAM's "plight" here and why its sob story doesn't hold water. If this has a familiar ring to it, long-term activists concerned about our federally created immigration crisis may be reminded of Booker T. Washington's 1895 speech at the Atlanta Cotton Exposition, in which he called upon white employers across the nation to consider hiring black Americans before tapping into the nation's growing foreign-born labor pool. Why, in 2014, are foreign workers suddenly more critical to the nation's economic well-being than the native-born? Enemies of our own workers will argue that Americans who refuse to relocate to other parts of the country have nobody but themselves to blame for their joblessness. Given that there is virtually no loyalty remaining in the workplace, this is understandable. But there also is this: If our government wasn't flooding our labor market with cheap foreign workers, employers would be forced to search out our homegrown talent.
  • Finally, and this may not sit well with those who already have trouble sleeping through the night, but the Obama Administration has seen fit to release back into our society 36,000 illegal aliens with criminal backgrounds, including murderers, rapists and kidnappers. Think about this, OK? We've spent millions tracking down these social misfits, and now we may have to spend millions more to finally get them off our streets? In any event, will the impact of this very stupid and very irresponsible decision be felt soon in your neighborhood?

Sleep tight, America.
