Associated Press drops the ball on coverage of 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals decision to stop deportation of 7 illegal aliens
Does the Associated Press (AP) know anything about the illegal immigration issue?
If you read this story, you'll come to the conclusion that, no, it does not.
First and foremost, let's be honest: The AP, in it's coverage of illegal immigration, really doesn't care about abiding by the rules of good journalism.
AP reporter Paul Elias says in his lead paragraph that the seven illegals who will be allowed to remain here are "alleged" to be in the country illegally.
Alleged? Local law enforcement officials detain these individuals only after the federal government has "determined" they are here illegally.
This is just one more example of a mainstream media that somehow finds it more rewarding to kiss up to illegal alien advocates instead of giving their audience all the facts about a public policy issue that affects all aspects of their daily lives.
