Anti-American antics of open borders Illinois congressman Gutierrez - only loyal to immigrants
By Dave Gorak, 07/27/2011
If you’re one of Rep. Luis Gutierrez’s (D-4th)[img_assist|nid=174|title=Luis Gutierrez|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=275|height=200|hspace=20|vspace=20] constituents, especially one who is unemployed, you have to be wondering where you stand with this man who has been running around the country on the taxpayers' dime reaffirming that his “only loyalty is to immigrants,” including those in this country illegally.
The twice-arrested Gutierrez has in recent years used terms like “American values,” “broken immigration policy,” “tearing apart families,” and “racial profiling” as a smokescreen to hide the objectives of his open-borders comrades.
Simply put, he and his ilk are telling the American people that they oppose all attempts to enforce our immigration laws created to protect American workers and will accept nothing less than total amnesty for the 11 million illegal aliens despite a 9.2 unemployment rate that has left 22 million of our citizens – and legal residents – unable to find full-time work. Never mind, he is saying, that continued high levels of immigration and the presence of 8 million illegals in our workforce are contributing to the economic disaster that has befallen the nation’s minority population.
To put it another way, we are to condone acceptance of lawlessness in order to accommodate those who out of one side of their mouths are saying to hell with our national sovereignty and out of the other demanding “respect and dignity.”
The nation’s mainstream media, which shares much responsibility for the illegal immigration crisis because of its one-sided and biased coverage of the issue over the years, won’t touch this aspect of the debate. But make no mistake: Gutierrez and others are not in the business of doing what’s best for the nation but only in how to remake it in an image that promotes a sense of entitlement, disrespect for the rule of law and replacement of national unity with tribal politics.
Gutierrez & Co. are very good at leading reporters and editors around by their noses, feeding them lies and distortions, but the American public must not allow itself to remain indifferent to those wanting to sacrifice this nation’s most vulnerable members to a political agenda that is inconsistent with the long-term interests of our republic.
